Bord na NOg Rod 5km Fun/Run walk A Great Success

Bord na NOg Rod Sponsored 5km fun/run walk A massive crowd young and old took part in the Bord na NOg Rod 5km family fun/run on Saturday . It was a great turnout in support of our under-age footballers and it was a great social occasion also for parents and supporters to come together and have a chat with lovely home made sandwiches , buns and cakes and off course a cup of tea back at the gaa grounds afterwards. Great credit must go to all involved in making this happen Minor Chairman Stephen Darby, Minor Secretary Tracey Murphy and their committee of parents. A big thank you to the young boys and girls who took sponsorship cards, Rhode, Ballybryan and Croghan schools , Benny& Bridgie Kerrigan and Dermot &Margret Murphy for the drink stations along the route. Nike Air Trainer 3 Club Faithful, the Offaly GAA Supporters’ Club, are organising the reunion which will be held just before Offaly’s Leinster SFC quarter-final against Westmeath this Sunday , June 11th. The event will take place in the Tullamore GAA Centre, which is across the road from O’Connor Park, at 12.15pm lunch served at 12:30 pm with a limited number of tickets (€15) available.   Offaly GAA Cul Camps The annual Rhode GAA Cul Camp will commence in Fr Dowling Park on Monday 17th July to Friday 21th July. The camp will start each day at 10am and ends at 2.30pm.
