Bord na NOg Rod 5km Fun/Run walk A Great Success

Bord na NOg Rod Sponsored 5km fun/run walk

A massive crowd young and old took part in the  Bord na NOg Rod 5km family fun/run on Saturday . It was a great turnout in support of our under-age footballers and it was a great social occasion also for parents and supporters to come together and have a chat  with lovely home made sandwiches , buns and cakes and off course a cup of tea  back at the gaa grounds afterwards. Great credit  must go to all involved in making this happen Minor Chairman Stephen Darby, Minor Secretary Tracey Murphy and their committee of parents.  A big thank you to the young boys and girls who took sponsorship cards, Rhode, Ballybryan and Croghan schools , Benny& Bridgie Kerrigan and Dermot &Margret Murphy for the drink stations along the route. In the Field we were  served with  lovely refreshments a big thank you Orla Kilmurray, Orla Molloy, Regina Swaine, Anita Ryall, Mary Hannon and Patricia McManus. Finally a big thank you to Peter Kilmurray for driving the lead car and his daughter Megan for the music,  the many Stewards who were along the route and all who supported the walk/run.
