Rhode Junior B Team
Hard Luck to our Junior B team defeated in the County final on Friday night last. Rhode were put on the back foot in the first half but made a come back in the second half but unfortunately it wasn’t enough . The final Score read Lusmagh 3-08 Rhode 0-09. Although their year ends in defeat they can be very proud of the hard work they have put in over the the year a special thanks to their management team of Declan Curley, Joe Malone, Willie Murphy and Stephen Murphy and Physio Geraldine McGovern.

Minor League Champions Presentation.
On Saturday evening last a great crowd gathered in Rhode GAA Parish hall to watch Rhode minor lads receive their league medals along side their lovely new tops. Rhode GAA chairman Seamus Maguire opened proceedings by welcoming all in attendance and congratulating the team on their achievements. The Presentation got underway and on hand to present the medals and tops were Rhode Senior Football Manager Paschal Kellaghan and Rhode Senior Player Anton Sullivan. At the end of the evenings proceedings a cup of tea and light refreshments were enjoyed by all. A big thank you has to go to all who organised this event a special mention to chairman Seamus Maguire for his help, Tracey Murphy and Patricia McManus who organised the lovely refreshments.Robert Kellaghan ,John Beezy Glennon for getting the medals, the photographers of the local press for attending and Paschal and Anton for giving up their time to present the medals. Finally a big thank you has to go to the players and management team of Paul Gizmo Glennon, Anthony Hyland, Bill Glennon and Derek Egan for all their hard work and commitment over the last year.

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 3rd of October for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 21 23 25 27. The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Otooles for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. The following matched three numbers and received €50 each

Deepest Sympathy to the Malone Family Tubberdaly on the passing of Mossy whose funeral took place in St.Peters Church Rhode on Thursday morning last with the burial taking place afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.
