Lotto Results and Club Note

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 2th of August for a Jackpot of €15,000.  The numbers drawn were 7 26 27 29.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O’Toole’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €200

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online though our website.  The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example pay for seven draws receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on.  In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!

 

 

 

Offaly Senior Football Championship

Rhode Senior Footballers take on neighbouring rivals Edenderry this Coming Saturday the 6th of August at 7pm in O’Connor Park Tullamore.

Intermediate Football Championship

Rhode Intermediates face Bracknagh on Friday night the 5th of August at 7:30pm in Walshisland .

Junior B Football Championship

Rhode Juniors will play Raheen on Sunday evening the 7th of August in Geashill at 6pm .

We wish all our Teams the very best of luck at the weekend. Your support would be much appreciated.

Damiens Grand Canal Run Fundraiser:

Rhode Senior Footballers took part in the Grand Canal fundraiser on Sunday morning last by running from Ballybrittan bridge to Rhode bridge along side former Football referee Damien Brazil and local man Niall Murphy. On the arrival at Rhode Bridge Rhode GAA Club chairman and Treasurer along side players and members of the club made a presentation of donation to Damien Brazil in aid of Irish Autism and the Irish Hospice. Rhode GAA would like to congratulate Damien on his successful run which in all was 135km from the Grand Canal Quay Dublin to Shannon Harbour Offaly.

Baby Girl:

Congratulations to Club vice chairman Cathal swords and his wife Sarah on the birth of their third child a lovely baby girl Hannah.

Wedding Bells

Massive congratulations to Rhode Junior Footballer Brendan Curley and his wife Nicola who were married last Saturday. Wishing you both much happiness for the future.

wishing Senior Selector Joseph “Jack” Kilmurray a speedy return to the field after spending a few days in hospital and all in Rhode GAA wish Jack all the best in his recovery.
