€15,000 Could Be Yours

\"euro\"There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto for the week ending 27th of October for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 13 22 27 29. The club like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O\’Toole\’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. The following matched three numbers and received €50 each

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online though our website. The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example pay for seven draws receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on. In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!

Rhode Under 15 footballers were beaten by Na Fainna on a score line of 5-12 to 4-12 in the fourth round of the Offaly under 15 league in Geashill on Sunday morning. After a very good game of football which saw a total of 9-24 been scored.

The Offaly Division 1 League Final which was due to be played on Sunday morning in Daingean between Rhode and Clara was postponed and will now be played at a later date hopefully in two weeks time.

Well done to Kilcormac/Killoughey senior hurlers who had a good 1-18 to 1-10 win over the Laois champions Camross on Sunday in Portlaoise they will now play Oulart the Ballagh of Wexford in the semi-final in two weeks time in O\’Connor Park. Well done also to Ballinamere who had a 0-22 to 0-5 win over the Kildare champions Sarsfields on Sunday in Ballinamere. Also well done to Birr Junior footballers who had a 3-9 to 0-9 over Westmeath champions St. Paul\’s on Sunday. The best of luck to the Kilcormac/Killoughey Intermediate footballers who play Naomh Olaf of Dublin on Sunday in Killcormac.

Get well wishes is extended to all the people of the parish who are ill or hospitalised at the moment and we would encourage all members to visit and look after the elderly and those living alone during the winter months and with the state of burglaries in the area recently.
