A Busy Weekend Gone For Our Under-Age Teams

Offaly Feile  2018

Group stage

On Saturday Rhode U,14s  traveled to Gracfield  where they topped their feile group by beating  Na Fianna 2-5 to 0-04 in game 1 and in game 2 Rhode bet Gracfield 9-13 to  0-01.

Division 1 Semi Final:

On Sunday morning Rhode then traveled to Bord Na Mona Faithful fields where they took on Ferbane/Belmont in the A semi final unfortunately it wasn\’t to be for our young footballer\’s as Ferbane won out on a score-line 5-06 to 1-02 .

Our U,14 footballer\’s put in great performance over the weekend and while they will be disappointed they can hold their heads high.  Over all it was a very positive for our under-age club as it not every day you get to an A semi final and finish up in the top four teams of the Division 1 Offaly Feile.

Ferbane/Belmont went on to win the Division 1 Feile beating Clara in the final and we wish them well in the National Feile.

A big thank you to the mentor\’s who looked after the team at the weekend Cathal Smith, Michael Kennedy,  Dickie Conroy and Jimmy Hannon .

Also to the parent\’s who gave great support to the team over the weekend as always it couldn\’t be done without you.
