The very best of luck to our Senior footballers and management team who take on Tullamore in this year\’s Offaly Senior Football Final in Bord Na Mona O\’Connor Park Tullamore this coming Sunday October 31st at 3pm. It will be a real battle as Rhode seek their 31th and Tullamore their 28th.

Calling all our great Supporters to cover the Parish with colour whether it be bunting or flags. It has been a truly hard year and a half. 24hr Walk-A-ThonA massive Thank you to all that took part in our 24hr Walk-A-Thon to raise funds towards our development plans. It was a great success and a great crowd took part and supported the event. A big thank you to the team captains and fellow workers. U20 Football Championship
St,Michaels secured a semi final spot in this years U20 football Championship following a win over Durrow on a score-line of 1-12 to 0-11. St,Michaels will now play Na Fianna on Tuesday November 2nd in WalshIsland at 8pm.

U15 A football Semi Final
Rhode U15 footballers were unfortunately defeated by St,Vincents on Wednesday night last 3-06 to 0-10. They put in a gallant effort but could not hold onto the lead or indeed kick on with a number of missed opportunities. Best of luck to StVincents who play Cloghan in the final. A big thank you to the management team of Jp McLoughlin, Mark Conroy, Shay Hannon, Paschal Kellaghan, Pauric Murphy for their fantastic work with the team this year.

Rhode entered a u12 football team who were unfortunately beaten by Edenderry at home in Rhode on Monday night last. despite putting in a wonderful effort. It\’s wonderful to see young lads continuing to play this time of year.

Super 7sWell done to the Rhode Team team who took part in the \”Super 7\’s\” in Tullamore On Saturday.. An excellent day out for the boys and thank you to both Tullamore GAA as host club and Carina Carroll and County Management Team for organising. Four tough matches were played against Edenderry, Shamrocks, Na Fianna and St. Broughans GAA clubs. Looking forward to the return leg in two weeks time.

Rhode GAA Walking Track
Our walking track remains open for our members to exercise safely .
Members are asked to obey signage and maintain Covid-19 social distancing measures.
We Ask that Those using our facilities respect the grounds by either bringing home your rubbish or use the many bins that surround the walking track .
Lotto
The Rhode GAA Lotto Jackpot was €11,000 and it took place on the 18th of October. while adhering to the guidelines.
The numbers drawn out were 7 18 27 30.
There was one winner with three matching numbers who won €200.

The lotto can be played online before 12 Noon on the date of the draw see the Rhode GAA Website / Facebook / Twitter or Contact your usual ticket seller for details. The draw will take place every Monday night and will be live on Facebook between 8 pm – 8:30 pm.
Sympathy
Rhode GAA expresses our deepest sympathy to the Stones family, The Heavey family, relatives, neighbours and friends on the Passing of Ger (Quam ) Murphy Greenhills Rhode/Edenderry . Ger will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Ger,s funeral mass took place Last Thursday morning in St,Peters Church Rhode followed by burial to the adjoining cemetery .
