Thank you to all our members who took time out of their day to participate in what was a very positive and successful consultation event on our clubhouse proposal. We received lots of feedback which will be taken into consideration as we move from the concept design phase into detailed design stage for the planning application.

U13 Football League
Rhode U13 footballers played St.Vincents on Sunday last in Round 2 of the Football league in Ballycommon. It was a competitive and very sporting game.

Offaly Senior Footballers
Offaly senior footballers gave a good performance racking up what might usually be a winning score-line 3-10 but unfortunately Galway had enough done to win scoring 2-17 Offaly will travel to Newry to play Down on Saturday March 12th 5pm. On the Offaly Team/Panel from Rhode are Anton Sullivan, Niall Darby, Ruairi McNamee, , Ruairi McNamee , Niall McNamee & Conor Mcnamee.
St. Patrick\’s Day Parade 2022
Planning is well underway for our 4th Annual St. Patrick\’s Parade which will take place Thursday March 17th 10am Starting from the power station road and going right into Rhode Village and all households along the Route are encouraged to decorate their homes with bunting and flags.We can officially announce the great Maryjo Kilmurray as our Grand Marshal. It\’s shaping up to be a very special Parade after a very strange two years. There has been a massive response from local organizations, businesses, clubs etc as per previous parades. We hope more will get involved.
Our Next meeting will take place on Monday March 7th at 8pm in Rhode GAA Hall

U17 B Minor Football Champions 2020 Presentation Night A Night Of Celebration will take place on Saturday March 19th in Killens Lounge 8:30pm where our minior champions of 2020 receive their county medals. Live Music and finger food on the night, We hope all parents, family friends and supporters can Join us to mark this great occasion. All Welcome !!

Rhode GAA/Rhode LGFA Membership is now open and we urge all members if possible to follow the online option of registration/payment system https://www.foireann.ieThe foireann system can also be used by players and non-players to register and pay online as a member of Rhode GAA and LGFA clubs. The deadline for general membership is March 31st .(Ladies Deadline May Slightly differ)
An option to enter the 200 club draw is also available for online payment on https://www.foireann.ie and there are options for payment by instalments also available.

Rhode GAA Walking Track
Great work was carried out on Saturday morning last on our walking track surface which needed some maintenance, Well done to our volunteers JJ Donohoe , Pe Lenehan, Stephen Glennon, Liam Claffey, Kyle Kilmurray, Karl Hannon, Brendan Glennon, Kesh Murphy, Jack Murphy and Owen Murphy aptly overseen by Richie Glennon , great work achieved by all . Our walking track remains open for our members to exercise safely Day or night..We ask that Those using our facilities respect the grounds by either bringing home your rubbish or use the many bins that surround the walking track.

The Rhode GAA Lotto Jackpot was €14,800 and it took place on the 28th of February in Killeens.

Get well:
Get well wishes are extended to all of the people of the parish who are ill or hospitalised at the moment. We especially send our well wishes and a great recovery to former club Vice Chairman Brendan Bud Leavy.
Sympathy
Rhode GAA express our deepest sympathy to Monica, Bridget, Eilis, Ricky, Cathal , Shannon , Grandchildren Jack & Riona, his Brother John and extended family and friends on the passing of Richard (Rich) Cully Fahy. The Cully family are great followers of all Rhode teams with Richards Son Ricky having played under-age and adult football for the club.
