Rhode Under 15 footballers were beaten by Na Fainna on a score line of 5-12 to 4-12 in the fourth round of the Offaly under 15 league in Geashill on Sunday morning. After a very good game of football which saw a total of 9-24 been scored.

The Offaly Division 1 League Final which was due to be played on Sunday morning in Daingean between Rhode and Clara was postponed and will now be played at a later date hopefully in two weeks time.

Well done to Kilcormac/Killoughey senior hurlers who had a good 1-18 to 1-10 win over the Laois champions Camross on Sunday in Portlaoise they will now play Oulart the Ballagh of Wexford in the semi-final in two weeks time in O’Connor Park. Well done also to Ballinamere who had a 0-22 to 0-5 win over the Kildare champions Sarsfields on Sunday in Ballinamere. Also well done to Birr Junior footballers who had a 3-9 to 0-9 over Westmeath champions St. Paul’s on Sunday. The best of luck to the Kilcormac/Killoughey Intermediate footballers who play Naomh Olaf of Dublin on Sunday in Killcormac.

Get well wishes is extended to all the people of the parish who are ill or hospitalised at the moment and we would encourage all members to visit and look after the elderly and those living alone during the winter months and with the state of burglaries in the area recently.
