Rhode Goes to Hollywood – A Night of Glitz, Glamour & Community Spirit!
Rhode GAA & LGFA are rolling out the star treatment for what promises to be one of the most dazzling nights in the club’s history. Rhode Goes to Hollywood Gala Night will take place at The Court Hotel, Tullamore, on Saturday, 14th March 2026, in aid of the Club’s exciting new Development Project, including state-of-the-art dressing rooms and facilities on newly acquired club grounds.
Plans for this major development are already taking shape, with draft designs under review before an official planning application is submitted to Offaly County Council in the coming weeks.
A professional events company will be transforming local faces into film stars, producing seven short films featuring Rhode’s own residents as actors, extras, and behind-the-scenes talent. Expect hilarious, heartwarming, and unforgettable Rhode renditions of iconic scenes from The Snapper, Derry Girls, The Field, and more!
Filming will take place over two weekends in February, following rehearsals throughout the winter months. Each film crew will also be hosting fun fundraising events in the run-up to the big premiere.
Then, on Gala Night, it’s time for the glittering Oscar-style awards ceremony, where Rhode’s brightest stars will walk the red carpet all while raising vital funds for the future of the club.
