Under 16s Suffered Defeat

Rhode Og Under 16 footballers were well beaten by St. Broughan\’s in the fourth round of the Offaly championship on a 5-12 to 0-7 score line. The game was well refereed by Fergal Smyth of Kilclonfert.

Rhode Junior B Footballers were beaten by Clara in the fourth round of the championship on Sunday in Rhode on a 3-11 to 2-8 score line.

Best of luck to the Offaly Minor footballers who play Dublin in the semi-final of the Leinster Minor Championship on Thursday the 10th in O\’Connor Park at 7.30pm. Best of luck also to the management team of Paschal Kellaghan who is the manager of the team, David Connolly, John Murray and John Kenny.

Offaly Senior hurlers qualified for the second of the hurling qualifiers when they recorded a 2-19 to 1-20 win over Antrim on Sunday.

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto for the week ending 25th of June for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 4 8 25 30. The club like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O\’Toole\’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. The following matched three numbers and received €200

Sympathy is extended to the Cox family on the sudden death of Joey whose remains were interred in Daingean on Saturday. Joey was a native of Mount-Lucas Daingean. May he Rest In Peace.
