Semi-Final Draw

Rhode Senior footballers will play Clara in the semi-final of the championship on the 28th of September. The draw was made in O’Connor Park on Sunday.

The club would like to thank all those who participated in the clubs fundraiser golf classic. Special thanks to all players who part in the classic and to all the people who came from far and near to participate. Great credit must go to club secretary Ger Hynes and Oliver Murphy who organised the event and thanks is also expressed to all the committee members who worked so hard to make the event the success it was. Great praise must go to the committee members on the day who worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks also to the Edenderry Golf Club for their great help and operation. Thanks to all the teams who participated in the classic, also to the people and businesses who sponsored tee boxes. Special thanks goes to our local butcher Ray Dempsey who provided the excellent food which was very much appreciated by all especially by the club. The overall winner were the Bracknagh GAA Club team captained by Rhode’s well known character Michael (Starry) Brereton. A full list of winners will be published next week.

Under 12 League Rhode v DER Gaels in Rhode on Wednesday at 6.30pm

Under 14 Championship Rhode v Ballinamere/Durrow in Durrow on Friday at 6pm

Minor Championship Rhode v Tullamore in Rhode on Friday at 7.30pm.

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto for the week ending 1st of September for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 3 15 19 25 The club like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Killeen’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. The following matched three numbers and received €70 each
