J Gibney 1932 Medal

There is a medal for sale on ebay won by Rhode’s J Gibney in the 1932 championship. Rhode GAA Club doesn’t have anything to do with this sale we are just mentioning it in case anybody related to the Gibney’s would like to purchase the medal. The link is


The best of luck to the Rhode Senior football team and panel and management team who on Sunday at 3.30 in O’Connor Park play Clara in the Offaly senior football championship semi-final.

Under 12 League Rhode v Birr in Birr on Saturday at 11am.

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto for the week ending 1st of September for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 8 13 16 18 The club like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O’Toole’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. Sympathy is extended to the Hannon family of Derryarkin on the sudden and untimely death of Suzanne whose remains were interred in Croghan cemetery on Tuesday last. Sympathy is also extended to the Hannon family of Ballybeg on the death of Johnny Hannon whose remains were also interred in Croghan cemetery on Saturday.
