Leinster Senior Club Football Championship Rhode Senior Footballers booked a place into the Leinster Senior Club semi final for a 5th time as they overcame Simonstown Gaels of Meath on Sunday afternoon last on a score-line of 1-12 to 1-9. Going into the first 15 minutes Rhode found themselves behind by two points and they showed major work-rate and belief to claw their way back and it paid off with the scoreboard reading Rhode 6pts Simonstown 4pts at half-time. AIR MAX SEQUENT Rhode Kicked on further ahead and twenty minutes into the second half Conor McNamee hit the back of the net to put us up by 6pts 1-10 to 7. Simonstown fought back hard and got a goal taken from a penalty leaving it very close encounter as they added another point which brought Rhodes lead down to 2pts.
