Rhode County Team Representatives to take part in Walk For Club & County along with Johnny Mooney & Stephen Darby

A Walk For Club & County 

Club Legend\’s Johnny Mooney & Stephen Darby are taking part in the Club Faithful Fundraiser A Walk For Club & County 5km Walk/Run on Saturday March 27th to raise much needed funds for both club and County.  (50% Each)  They will be Joined by Current Rhode and Offaly Senior Footballers  Niall Darby,  Ruairi McNamee,  Conor McNamee,  Eoghan Rigney,  Anton Sullivan & Niall McNamee Hope you can support this great cause by making a donation to either Johnny or Stephen or any of the lads by going on www,grandcanalwalk,ie  checkout Rhode GAA Social Media Pages and click on their links (see links below} those unable to make a donation using online methods but want to donate can also make contact with them. .

We have made some changes to our club membership fees which will be available soon  as work Is nearly completed on an on-line payment System to collect our  membership. Please watch our social media and website for the uploading of the link in the coming days. This will make it easier and safer to pay your membership whether you\’re an ordinary member or player.

Rhode GAA Walking Track 

Our walking track  remains open for our members to exercise safely (once within 5km of your home)  Please do not gather in groups. Members are asked to obey signage and maintain Covid-19 social distancing measures.

We Ask that Those using our facilities respect the grounds by either bringing home your rubbish or use the many bins that surround the walking track .

The Rhode GAA Lotto Jackpot is €4,600 and it took place on the 8th of March while adhering to strict guidelines. 

The numbers drawn out were 1 3 24 25

There was only one  match three winner who won €200.

We hope all in our community are keeping safe and well. We urge you all to play your part in this war against the invisible virus. Please observe social distancing advice and follow guidance from government, HSE and reliable sources. There is much scaremongering and false information doing the rounds also, so be careful and use good judgement.  Look after yourself, your family and your neighbors. Especially those who are at greater risk. If you or someone you know, needs some help with getting groceries or medication, speak to members of our club and we will do our best help out

St.Patricks Day 
Wishing you all a very Happy St.Patricks Day.  We wish we could be spending the day with you at the Annual parade but unfortunately we cannot. We Hope you have a enjoyable day with your family in safe manner.

Happy Birthday 
 Happy  Birthday to Club President Paddy McCormack , his wife Josie , Pat Swaine and Jody Gunning who all celebrated their birthdays recently .

Get well: 

Get well wishes are extended to all of the people of the parish who are ill or hospitalised at the moment. 

Deepest Sympathy to Paddy Galvin & the Galvin family on the passing  of  his sister Christine ( Dinah )Finn nee Galvin Westport Mayo . Dinah\’s Funeral Mass took place on Monday morning last at Aughagower Church followed by cremation. 
Deepest Sympathies are also extended to the Murray Family  the Passing of  Joe  Murray Tyrellspass formerly of St.Patricks Avenue  . Joe will sadly be missed by all his family past neighbours  and colleagues of the Power tstation. Joe\’s funeral took place on Thursday last at  St.Stephens Church Tyrellspass followed by burial to the local cemetery.  
May Christine & Joe Rest In Peace
