Mary Jo Kilmurray Announced as St.Patricks Day Parade Grand Marshal

Sports Capital Grant 

We received great news on Friday with the announcement of Sports Capital Grants. Funds have been allocated to Rhode GAA for upgrade of fencing and lighting on Pitch 1 and Ball Stops for Pitch 3. Massive thanks to all who worked so hard on the application  
Super 7s 
Well Done to our u14s/u15s & u16s/U17s today on taking part in Super 7s On Saturday last Great to See the young lads back out playing after the winter break.  Fr.Dowling Park  played host to the U17 blitz on Saturday and will host next round on Saturday February 26rh. 

Club Membership:2022
Rhode GAA/Rhode LGFA Membership is now open and we urge all members if possible to follow the online  option of registration/payment system https://www.foireann.ieThe foireann system can also be used by  players and non-players to register and pay online as a member of Rhode GAA and LGFA clubs. The deadline for general membership is March 31st .(Ladies Deadline May Slightly differ)

An option to enter the 200 club draw is also available for online payment on https://www.foireann.ie  and there are options for payment by instalments also available.

The Membership Rates  are as Follows:    

200 club – €250

Family €120  (2 adults and all children) 

Adult player €80 (including Insurance )

Adult non-player €50

Student non-player / player €30

Youth player €30

O.A.P\’s  €5

If  you wish to pay in person rather than use online 2022 Membership  can be paid to the following membership officers listed, John Kilmurray Aine Egan , Patricia McManus,  Ger Noonan, Eoghan Hickey Peter Kilmurray Richie Glennon  Jody Kilmurray, James Murphy , ,Tracey Murphy , Robert Kellaghan d Mary Hannon  up to the 31st of  March

St. Patrick\’s Day Parade   2022
 Massive Plans are  underway for our 4th Annual St. Patrick\’s Parade which will take place Thursday March 17th  10am  Starting from the power station road and going right into Rhode Village and all households along the Route are encouraged to decorate their homes with bunting and flags.We can officially announce the great Maryjo Kilmurray as our Grand Marshal. MaryJo will be accompanied by her Sister Tone Dunne.  
We are hoping to make it a very special Parade and celebrate all being together again after a very strange two years. This cannot be achieved  without the help of local organizations, businesses, clubs etc like the previous parades. 
 Our Next meeting will   take place on Monday February 21st  in Rhode GAA Hall. , Anyone available to help in any way is asked to the meeting.  All inquiries to Peter Kilmurray 087 645755 / Stephan Darby 086 8452132 

Rhode GAA Walking Track 

Our walking track  remains open for our members to exercise safely Day or night..We ask that Those using our facilities respect the grounds by either bringing home your rubbish or use the many bins that surround the walking track.

Happy Birthday 
A very happy 70th Birthday to former Chairman Greg Glennon, Happy 40th Birthday to the great Alan Super McNamee and also sending Happy 50th Birthday wishes to Declan Bones Whelan. 

Lotto 
The Rhode GAA Lotto Jackpot was €14,200 and it took place on the 7th of February  in Killeen’s Lounge .
The numbers drawn out were 6 17 21 23
There was one winner with three matching numbers who won €200.

The lotto can be played online before 12 Noon on the date of the draw see the Rhode GAA Website / Facebook / Twitter or Contact your usual ticket seller for details.  The draw will take place every Monday night and will be live on Facebook between 8 pm – 8:30 pm.
