The last few years have been so difficult for everyone and they have been especially difficult for those affected by suicide . More people than ever are relying on the self-saving services that Pieta provides free of charge, to those in suicidal distress, those who are self-harming and those who have been bereaved by suicide. Our little village can relate more than ever to this and we as a community will come together with Rhode GAA to highlight this and as a sign of support in less than 3 weeks will hold our very first Darkness into Light event . On the 7th May we will gather at Ballybryan school for the start of our 5km walk and continue around the loop at Ballyburley and return to Ballybryan where refreshments will be served . Please join us and reflect , give thanks and send a message of hope to those in need .Fr.greg will be present to give a blessing ahead of the walk which will also include musical tribute . All households along the Route are encouraged to put candles outside as a sign of support. All support will be hugely appreciated.
