U15 A Football Championship County Final
Heart Break in BNM O’Connor Park on Sunday afternoon for our U15 Footballers who just came up short against Tullamore 2-07 to 1-07 following a massive never give up fight back. . Tullamore got the first score of the game to take the lead. Rhode were unlucky not to get the first score but it finally came a few minutes later. It was a tight affair until Tullmores first goal . Rhode Kicked a number of scores and were unlucky not to get a few more but the half-time score read 2-05 to 0-4 in favour of Tullamore. The Second half came and Rhode began a massive fight back with 11 minutes to go 2-07 to 1-06. Rhode got it back to a goal and took every opportunity to draw it and could say win it with Tullamore goal keeper pulled off a massive save. . Chances came but unfortunately lady luck was with Tullamore. Rhode can hold their heads up High and can be very proud of their Performance not just in Sundays game but throughout the Whole Year. You Did Your Club, Parents and yourselves Proud. You will be back bigger and stronger in 2023.
