Rhode’s 1000km Countdown to Christmas Fundraiser
On behalf of myself (Conor McNamee , Ruairi and Rhode GAA we would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported and participated in the 1000km Countdown to Christmas fundraiser for Jigsaw Offaly and Rhode GAA. As one of the organisers of this event, I am deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and generosity that you showed us this year and every year.
I am thrilled to announce that the fundraiser raised an amazing amount of €16,000, with €9,000 going directly to Jigsaw Offaly and another €7,000 going towards supporting Rhode GAA. We are delighted with this accomplishment, and we could not have done it without the support of our community.
Also a huge thank you to anybody who helped out on the day with providing food, recovery aids, administrative help and much more with a special mention to the Rhode Athletic Club who organised the 5km walk/run for us. This help allowed us to concentrate on the task at hand which was invaluable.
I also want to extend a special thank you to everyone who sponsored directly through the iDonate page, joined us on the day to keep us company and help raise funds, sponsored a leg of the event, or shared social media posts to help spread the word. Your support was crucial to the success of the event, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We would also like to thank St.Brigid’s GAA for their participation in the St.Stephen’s Day charity football match which brought in an additional €406 which all went to Jigsaw.
