Offaly Claims League Title

Well done to the Offaly Senior footballers who won the Allianz Division 4 league final on Saturday evening in Croke Park.  It was a good display by the Offalymen and they played a fine brand of football and well done also to the management team and to the team manager Pat Flagaghan in particular.  Offaly won on the score line of 4-15 to 1-11.  On the team and panel from the club were Brian Darby, Niall Darby, Niall McNamee, Anton Sullivan, Eoin Rigney, Ken Garry, Paul and James McPadden.  Offaly can now look forward to division 3 league football next year and another meeting with Longford on Saturday the 16th of May in O’Connor Park.  A great crowd from Rhode attended game and the Under 12 and Minor team, panel and management all attended the game and they really enjoyed the day out and they got a great thrill in seeing an Offaly captain Paul McConway collecting the cup.
