Offaly Senior Football Championship
Rhode Senior footballers made it two from two after beating Tullamore on a score-line of 1-14 to 0-08 in Gracefield last Monday night. Rhode look set hopefully if they defeat Cappincur to book a place in the Semi Finals of the Senior Championship.

Junior A football Championship
Rhode Junior Footballers were defeated on a score-line of 3-07 to 0-09. Which does not reflect accurately on the game which only for a series of very unfortunate events the game would have been a lot closer on the score-board . The less said about it the better.. The time and effort the Rhode Junior team and management have put in has been great and you lads can hold your heads high.

U17 B football championship
Rhode U17 footballers got their first game in the championship off to a winning start on Saturday morning last with a massive victory against Gracefield with the final score reading 8-15 to 1-01 .

U13 A football championship
On Sunday morning Rhode U13\’s resumed their Championship campaign when they hosted St. Vincent\’s in the second round of Group 1. WIth excellent playing conditions Rhode took the lead within the first few minutes and never relinquished it for the rest of the game. Going in 6pts up at half time, they came out just as strong in the second half and held St. Vincents at the end whistle by the same margins on a scoreline of 5-13 to 5-7.
On behalf of the management team, we would like to offer our sincere thanks to the St. Vincent\’s team for a very sporting game and we wish them well in the rest of this season. We would also like to acknowledge the referee Barry Buckley who let the game flow so well throughout.
The Rhode team consisted of: Leon Kilmurray, Dylan Curley, Jason Curley, Kyle Kilmurray, James Taylor, Matthew McBride, Dermot Crombie, Adam Kelleghan, Odhran Briody, Billy Quinn, Rhys Glennon, Drew Fleming, Owen Murphy, Joshua Kelleghan, Cian McNamee, Jamie Dalton, Sean McGovern, Tadhg Swaine, Tom Lacey, Ryan Glennon, Tiernan Ennis, Killian Dunne, Oscar Egan, Brian Curley, Joshua Gowran, Finn McCartney, Ronald Soares.
The Management team consisted of: Stephen Glennon, Brendan Glennon, Declan Curley, Michael Fleming and Hugh Crombie.
Thanks to the parents of the U13s , U17s from Rhode and the away teams for their help and co-operation on the player pass list and guidelines which ensured everything went according to plan.
A special word of thanks to our club groundsmen Paul McNamee & Robert Kellaghan who enursed our pitches were in playing order, marked and flagged following a very busy week in Fr,Dowling Park.
Go Games Blitz
On Saturday afternoon last our U\’7s & U\’9s put on an excellent display of football skills today. A big thank you to St.Vincent\’s & Tullamore for the games and a special thanks to coaches, referees and parents for making the event very enjoyable.
Offaly GAA Cul Camps
A great week was had by obout 120 boys & girls at this year\’s Offaly GAA Cul camps in Fr.Dowling Park. The weather conditions were middling but there still was a wonderful mood among participants as they had a jam packed week full of fun where they gave an excellent display of their footballing skills throughout the week.Well Done to the Cul Camp Staff for all the health and safety measures re covid-19 that were in place so the camp could run smoothly and both staff and participants were safe.
A massive Thank you to the fabulous coaches who as always do a fantastic job throughout the week
