Orlagh Named On Division 3 League Team

Congratulations to Offaly and Rhode’s Orlagh Heavey who was named on this year’s Division 3 Team of the League.

The TESCO Homegrown Teams of the League were announced at a gala event held in Croke Park on Tuesday last June 3rd. The awards which are presented at the end of the TESCO Homegrown National Football Leagues every year recognize the immense contribution of the players to their counties cause throughout the year.
Selection for the 4 teams is based on nominations from the managers within each division. No manager was allowed to select their own players and they submitted their selection of the best players from the opposing team after each round. Players with the highest number of nominations in their positions were then selected on the Team of the League for their Division.

Orlagh made her debut for Offaly in 2007 v Louth. This is her second time to be named on the Team of the League. This year she has been named as left half forward, In 2010 she claimed the Right half forward position.
She has won many accolades in her career for both Club and County to date these include; 2 Minor titles, 5 Senior Club Titles, 1 Leinster Intermediate League Club Title, All-Ireland Schools Junior A Championship ‘03, Leinster Schools Junior A ‘03 & ‘05 Div 4 Team of the League ‘10, NFL Div 4 ’13, Leinster Title 2013. Junior All Ireland Title 2013. Orlagh picked up a shoulder injury in April and will be out of action for a while. We wish her a speedy recovery and send her huge congratulations on her award
