Night of Celebration & Presentations
Our 2020 Senior Football Champions, 2021 Division 3 League Champions and Ladies Division 2 League Champions will be recognized with a night of Celebration and the presentation of their County & League Medals On Sunday May 1st Killeens Lounge @ 7pm Sharp. The Rhode members of the 1971/72 Winning All Ireland Offaly Teams will be our Guests of Honour on the night as 2021/2022 celebrates the 50th Anniversary of those historic victories. All Welcome Live Music etc on the night.

Rhode GAA Community Group Pieta Darkness Into Light Walk
The last few years have been so difficult for everyone and they have been especially difficult for those affected by suicide . More people than ever are relying on the self-saving services that Pieta provides free of charge, to those in suicidal distress, those who are self-harming and those who have been bereaved by suicide. Our little village can relate more than ever to this and we as a community will come together with Rhode GAA to highlight this and as a sign of support in less than 3 weeks will hold our very first Darkness into Light event . On the 7th May we will gather at Ballybryan school for the start of our 5km walk and continue around the loop at Ballyburley and return to Ballybryan where refreshments will be served . Please join us and reflect , give thanks and send a message of hope to those in need .Fr.greg will be present to give a blessing ahead of the walk which will also include musical tribute . All households along the Route are encouraged to put candles outside as a sign of support. All support will be hugely appreciated. Registration Night A Registration night will be held on Thursday May 5th at Ballybryan School from 7:30pm to 8:30pm for all those who wish to register in person for Rhode GAA Community Group Pieta Darkness into Light Walk . You can register by donation. There will also be a remembrance tree for those who wish to remember their loved ones that were sadly lost.

Offaly Senior Footballers
Offaly senior footballers had a disappointing loss to Wexford in The Leinster Championship. with final score reading 1-15 to 1-12 Offaly Will now play in the Tailteann Cup On the Offaly Team/Panel from Rhode are Anton Sullivan, Niall Darby, Ruairi McNamee, , Ruairi McNamee , Niall McNamee & Conor Mcnamee
Offaly U20 Footballers Hard Luck to Offaly U20 Footballers who lost out to Kildare in the Leinster Semi Final on a score-line of 2-11 to 0-15 . A disappointing result in the end. On the Panel from Rhode was Dylan Kilmurray
Our U7s & U9s footballers enjoyed a wonderful morning of football on Saturday morning last during a blitz against Ballinamere/Durrow at home in Fr.dowling Park. Well done to everyone involved
Our U11 Footballers travelled to Ferbane GAA grounds on Saturday morning last where they gave a great display of their footballing skills against Ferbane/Belmont. Well Done to all involved and Ferbane/Belmont for hosting
2020 U13 A Shield & 2021 U13B Championship winning teams presentation night took place on Monday April 11th. (The 2021 team had also won the Super 7s county bliz ) On the Night Rhode & Offaly footballer Ruairi McNamee presented the medals . A massive thank you to the club, trainers Stephen Glennon, Brendan Glennon, Declan Curley, Mick Fleming and Hugh Crombie for their work over that time and various others who assisted in many different ways including Darren Curley & Niall McNamee . Thank you also to the senior players who came and assisted at training sessions, matches and talked to the boys on a regular basis.(See Pictures Attached below )

The annual Rhode GAA Cul Camp will commence in Fr Dowling Park on Monday 18th to Friday 22nd of July 10am to 2pm. It is a wonderful experience to meet new friends and to practice the skills of our native games. The camp in Rhode is recognised as a top class camp. See Our Social Media pages for link

2022 Rhode GAA Supporters 200 Club Draw
We are continuing with our Rhode GAA Supporters Draw to Aid our Planned Development for our Grounds.A massive thank you for your previous support of our club draws and we hope you can continue that wonderful support in 2022.
A very positive and successful consultation event was held a few weeks back
on our clubhouse proposal. We received lots of feedback which will be taken into consideration as we move from the concept design phase into detailed design stage for the planning application.
.Entering this draw will provide you with the chance to win 1st prize €1000 & 4 chances to win €250 in each draw and there are 5 draws taking place throughout the year. That’s a total of 30 chances to win over the year. Draws will be held as follows

Rhode GAA/Rhode LGFA Membership is now open and we urge all members if possible to follow the online option of registration/payment system https://www.foireann.ieThe foireann system can also be used by players and non-players to register and pay online as a member of Rhode GAA and LGFA clubs. The deadline for general membership is March 31st .(Ladies Deadline May Slightly differ)
An option to enter the 200 club draw is also available for online payment on https://www.foireann.ie and there are options for payment by instalments also available.

Walking TrackOur walking track remains open for our members to exercise safely Day or night..We ask that Those using our facilities respect the grounds by either bringing home your rubbish or use the many bins that surround the walking track.
Lotto The Rhode GAA Lotto Jackpot was €16,200 and it took place on the 18th of April in The Rhode Inn.
The numbers drawn out were 4 17 26 27
There was one winner with three matching numbers who won €200.
